THE FOUNDRY WOMEN’S MINISTRY

“Christ’s love compels us…” (2 Cor.5:14)

DISCIPLESHIP
MICRO
GROUPS

Why micro groups of three to six women?

Transformational spiritual growth takes place best in the context of loving, caring, authentic relationships as we grapple with the truth of God’s Word. Micro-sized groups provide the best environment for building the deeper bonds of caring, sharing, transparency, mutual accountability, and encouragement in our journey toward maturity in Christ. Transparent relationships give the Holy Spirit one of the best environments for bringing about transformational growth.

What curriculum is used in the micro groups?

Curriculum will change periodically, but for now the curriculum is as follows:

6-month Micro Groups:

Discipleship Essentials by Greg Ogden, is a Bible-based tool designed to help you deepen your knowledge, understanding, and application of essential Christian teachings, strengthen your faith, and follow Jesus’ pattern of making disciples. There are 25 lessons, each with a core truth, memory verse, inductive Bible study, and a reading on the theme for the week.

12-Week Micro Groups:

The Gospel of John (Study guide by John MacArthur)–In this study you will explore how every miracle, teaching, and action of Jesus proved He was the Word, the Messiah, and the Son of God.

4-6 Week Micro Groups:

Knowing God is a 4-session study for those new in their walk with the Lord, and for those who would like a refresher on the non-negotiable foundations of our faith.

Where do the micro groups meet?

Groups meet weekly.  Day, time, and location are determined by the group.

What is my commitment if I sign up for a micro group?

Being part of a micro group is a high commitment, so each member of the group signs a covenant to complete weekly assignments, faithfully attend each weekly meeting, contribute to a climate of honesty and confidentiality, and to give serious consideration to whom and how they can spiritually pour into the lives of other women.

How are the micro groups formed?

Micro groups are best formed organically by personal invitation so that everyone in the group already knows at least one person. However, there is no need to wait for an invitation! but our lives as well, because you had become so dear to us”. (1Thess.2:8 NIV)
