At The Foundry Church in Winter Springs, FL, we believe that completeness lies at the center of God’s intended reality. The Greek word for this completeness is “teleios”.  In Matthew 5:48, Jesus desires for us to “be complete (teleios) as your heavenly father is complete (teleios).” The flourishing of God’s intended reality is experienced more and more deeply as we grow more and more complete in our relationships with:  GOD, SELF, OTHERS AND THE WORLD. 
We are in search of a Lead Pastor to serve the community at the Foundry Church.

Position Overview:
The Lead Pastor, alongside the staff and elders, casts the vision for The Foundry and provides leadership, teaching, and direction to the church. They work to creatively cast and align the congregation to the vision through responsibilities such as preaching, teaching classes, and filming missional videos. Working in close partnership with the Executive Pastor, the Lead Pastor leads and supervises the church staff.
The Lead Pastor is the primary vocal piece for the staff and eldership. They lead campaigns and directives that further
the vision, communicate struggles and successes of the congregation, and excite and motivate the congregation toward growth.
The Lead Pastor works individually with congregation members when needed. This includes meeting with new members, performing weddings and funerals, and being available to answer questions and concerns of members.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Vision Casting/Leadership
  • Develop the vision and mission of The Foundry based upon biblical principles and the current environment and circumstance of the community.
  • Communicate the vision to the eldership, staff, and congregation.
  • Lead the staff in development of ministries that support the vision.
  • Motivate the congregation in movement towards the vision.
  • Regularly evaluate the effectiveness of the vision and implementation of the vision.
  • Work with the Executive Pastor to develop, maintain, and implement a 5-year plan.
  • Guide and participate in the creation of material for social media and websites.
Preaching/Teaching
  • Overall sermon series planning, development, and execution.
  • Creation of sermon series graphics, bumpers, and creative elements.
  • Guide the Worship Pastor in the development of classes, teaching when needed.
Congregational Support
  • Direct the general spiritual growth and development of the congregation.
  • Perform weddings and funerals.
  • Pray for, visit, and counsel members.
  • Regularly meet with members as needed.
  • Cultivate relationships within the community.
Staff Support
  • Set and maintain a staff mentality that aligns with the vision of the church in all things.
  • Oversee the staff as they expand the vision to all aspects of The Foundry.
  • Manage the relationship between the staff in the elders, keeping the elders updated of what the staff is doing and keeping the staff updated about what the elders expect.
  • Support the staff in development of special church-related events.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
  • Undergraduate degree required. Postgraduate education is preferred.
  • 3-5 years of church experience required.
  • Experience in growing a church and developing a church staff preferred.
  • Experience with use of social media posting and management.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistently, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
  • Able to lift up to 50lbs.
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance
